Dear Wedding Guru: “I knew when I said ‘yes’ to be a bridesmaid at my girlfriend’s wedding that it would involve time, effort, and money. That being said, I’ve never heard of a gift from the wedding party to the bride — on top of the one I’m giving her from me, personally. What is that and can I get out of it?”
