Have a Seat

The Wedding Guru Judy Lewis fields this week’s wedding questions. Today: Have a Seat

Margaret asks: “I am having a wedding reception with round tables that seat eight people each. How much room is needed between each table?”

Dear Margaret: How nice of you to make sure that your guests are comfortable! Here are the rules of thumb: For a sit-down dinner, aside from main traffic areas, allow a minimum of 48″ and, if possible, as much as 54″ between round tables. This will accommodate a chair and service space.

If you would like more information about seating your guests, check out the Wedding Guide article on HudsonValleyWeddings.com called “Please Be Seated… Mastering the Art of Seating Guests.”
