Mill House Brewing Company to Open in Poughkeepsie in Fall 2013

The Valley’s newest brewery takes up residence in a Dutchess County city’s rehabilitated mill house

Goodbye, Panda — hello Pub!

When local favorite Chinese restaurant Mill House Panda — a fixture on Poughkeepsie’s Mill Street for the past 25 years — shuttered its doors this March, we wondered what would become of the cute space on the corner. We didn’t have to wait long to find out: Mill House Brewing Company — helmed by the brothers Crocco (general manager Chris and executive chef Daniel), Eric Baxter, and brewmasters Jamie Bishop and Larry Stock — is set to open its doors later this month. Expect a slew of artfully crafted brews as well as tasty dishes that employ local ingredients.

We dropped by for a look-see as soon as we heard the hammerings of construction on the shiny new brewery (craft beer is our latest obsession). View our gallery below for a sneak-peek at its progress, and keep an eye out for our article in the November print issue.
